There are an increasing and alarming number of cases of prostate cancer that is getting reported and treated all over the world.
The prostate is basically a gland that is found in the reproductive system of the male body. It basically wraps around the male urethra even as it exits from the bladder. Prostate cancer is a disease which is characterised by development malignant (cancer) cells in the tissues of the prostate. Mostly, prostate cancers grow slowly; however, some grow in a faster rate. The patient could also experience chronic inflammation in the area. This, however, does not have any relation with the bacteria and is referred to as chronic prostatitis.

The tests are done in laboratories and include a test known as prostate-specific antigen (PSA). The digital rectal examination is done in these cases as well. However, it is also better to keep in mind that not everybody may be fit enough to go through this procedure.
